Stronger and Consolidated!

The Regional Seminar Workshop on Migrant Organizing, Network Building, and Solidarity was a success. The Asia Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM) organized the 2-day event, which was participated by 26 grassroots migrant organizations and civil society groups coming from 13 countries and regions across Asia Pacific.

The seminar-workshop held different sessions with sharing about the best practices on migrant-organizing, consolidation and leadership, alliance and solidarity work. The gathering also enumerated the challenges in organizing migrant workers and the issues that they experience everyday. The plenary was able to consolidate these stories and come up with recommendations on how to strengthen, consolidate, and build campaigns to advance the rights and welfare of migrant workers.

This is a historical milestones for migrant organizations and advocates in the Asia Pacific region as we advance our collective struggle for identity, labor and human rights, social protection, and dignity.
