The Beijing+30 CSO Report is out NOW!

After a rigorous consultation and writing process, the Asia Pacific Civil Society Steering Committee for the Beijing+30 Review Process has finally unveiled its CSO Report! APMM has extensively contributed to this report, ensuring that perspectives on women in migration is incorporated strongly across thematic areas discussed.

The Report tackled the themes of “Advancing Gender-affirmative Economic Justice, Rights, Decent Work, and Social Protection”; “Boosting Women’s Leadership, Representation, and Political Participation”; “Strategies to End Discrimination, Sexual and Gender-based Violence against Women and Girls in their Diversities”; and “Future Forward Strategies for Gender Equity.” Throughout the report, on-ground experiences and issues faced by women in their diversities in the region were highlighted and recommendations were put forward to multilateral institutions and member states.

The CSO Report hopes to influence the political declaration which will be crafted during the upcoming Beijing+30 Ministerial Conference happening from 19 to 21 November in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as to shape future policies with and for women in the Asia Pacific.
