Bangladeshi exploring the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration

An online orientation on Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) was conducted last Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The orientation was organized by Films 4 Peace Foundation in association with IMA Research Foundation, BOMSA, OKKAF, and IMA Bangladesh, with support from the Asia Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM).

Various issues was discussed during the orientation. Probir Kumar Biswas from BOMSA exploring the Bangladesh Female Migrants’ Protection and GCM, Mahabub Elahi from OKKAF discussed Migrants’ Rights and GCM, Shahreen Munir from International Organization for Migration (IOM) discussed GCM and its Relevance in Bangladesh and Rey Asis from APMM present the overview of the GCM, exploring its principles and objectives, and share relevant updates of GCM and its relevance to migrants.

The orientation was open with welcome remarks from Sheepa Hafiza, Chairperson of Films 4 Peace Foundation, facilitated by Pervez Siddiqui, Executive Director of Films 4 Peace Foundation and was closed with thank you remark from Anishur Rahman Khan, Secretary of IMA Bangladesh.
