Capacity Building Meeting on GCM

CARAM Asia in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM) organized a virtual capacity building meeting to enhance knowledge of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Migrant Workers on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration (GCM) and Its Review Process last September 25th. The virtual capacity building was attended by members of CARAM Asia.

After opening and introduction, welcome remarks from Musarrat Perveen, Regional Coordinator of CARAM ASIA, the session continues with presentation on GCM, its processes and its relevance to migrants by Rey Asis of APMM.

The meeting then continued with breakout session, participants were divided into groups and discuss among themselves some questions that was already prepared related urgent issues faced by migrants, relevant objectives of GCM to the issues and meaningful participations.

After report back from the breakout sessions, the virtual meeting was closed with a group photo.
